Finding Mediterranean towns

I'm playing Patrician 3 and I sent expeditions to the Med to find the cities. 3 were already found and I found 7 more relatively easily based on the Med. maps.

I had problems finding Athens because to find it, you have to explore not where Athens is but an area northeast of the actual location. Nevertheless, I found it.

I am still looking for town #12 though. I or others have discovered these towns:

I've sent 4 expeditions trying to find the 12th city. From the other 11, by process of elimination, I thought it would be either Porto or Bordeaux. I've searched all around these areas but I can't find either of them.

Has anyone ever played a game where there were less than 12 Med. cities?

My latest game seems to have only 11 cities as well. I send multiple convoys so they map the entire coastline, but nothing so far :) --IcecreamKittenTalk 20:46, July 6, 2012 (UTC)

I found the 12th city. This is because I did not search for Bordeaux at first because when I looked at the Mediterranean map in the Guild, it looked as if computer players had already searched the area around Bordeaux and didn't find anything.
The Mediterranean cities are grouped in 6 groups. You will have 2 cities per group and from each group, you will have one Harbor Town and one Trading Post. From the process of elimination, Bordeaux or Porto were the only cities that could be city #12. I finally sent an expedition to Bordeaux, even though it was already searched and found it relatively quickly.
In summary, don't trust the map if it says that a certain area has already been searched.

Reputation is shown by clicking on the people in the city, they say things like '"Many of the rich citizens are grateful to you"'. There is no more accurate statistic that you can see.
If english is not your first language, perhaps it would help to explain your issue in your native language? I speak russian and a couple others. --IcecreamKittenTalk 13:21, October 27, 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, no :(
Ok, try to click on people in your city and see what they say, like this:
